I believe I have made it clear to him how I feel.

Thor is a hero to our people, and he is very good at being that. He saves the day, he conquers the enemy.

But he was also heir to the throne, and a time came when he was expected to be something more than that. A king must be present on all days, not just the ones in need of saving.

He chose to go to midgard instead, to his mortal lover and his new friends, so that he could stay a hero.
