He waited until he could hear someone wasn't busy before he knocked. ]

[The telltale sound of someone who absolutely just tripped over something (it was the umbra staff) is going on on the other side of the door, because Taako got up to rush over and got distracted upon realizing he needed to fix his face up before he actually answered.

It only takes him a couple of seconds to cast Disguise Self, making him look exactly how everyone expects him to look, and then the door opens. And grins at the sight of the pie.]

Clark, my man, come on in! [He steps back and makes a sweeping gesture towards the room. It's empty aside from him, since most of his roommates have jobs and shit, something that Taako's still working on.] What brings you to my neck of the woods?

[ There's a knock on the door but when Taako opens it, there's no one there (bless super speed). Instead, there's a crudely made ice statue that looked like Taako. The etchings are too fine (since they've been done with heat vision) and it is lopsided. The ears are too big.

[His first thought is that Clark was close enough to see, since they were hardly being subtle, but he doesn't want to make a big deal out of it.]

He doesn't get around to texting Taako until early afternoon; partly because he'd woken up late, as per usual, and partly because he had needed a few hours to just deal with it on his own.

Then he sucks it up, and texts Taako (who he hasn't spoken to, since what went down in his workshop). ]
