[ Cisco can't even imagine what a relationship like the one between Taako and Lup must be like. He might be working off limited evidence, but he's sure that Taako means just as much to Lup as she means to him. What must it be like, to have someone you know has your back, no matter what? ]

[ There was a time when Cisco would have objected to anyone calling Dante an asshole. For a long time he'd bought into his parents' bullshit about Dante, how he was the perfect son who did everything right, the exact opposite of the way Cisco did everything wrong. But then he'd grown up, gotten a bit of perspective, and realized that if someone walks like an asshole, talks like an asshole, that's probably what they are. ]
i mean, i still love my brother. he's my brother.
and he's not evil or anything, just sorta selfish.
like i was totally into this girl melinda, right? i mean... convinced she was the love of my life in that stupid teenage way. and apparently she told dante she kinda liked me, too. so he lied to her and said there was no way it was gonna happen because i wanted to become a priest (which for the religion we grew up in means totally celibate) and then he asked her out himself and dated her for a year before he cheated on her and she dumped him.

It's not weird, she's like, awesome, so I'm pretty sure everyone rightly wants to meet her.

he only admitted it like a month ago, i always just thought she just didn't even notice me.
[ Cisco doesn't really know what he'd be like if Dante was nice. He's pretty sure he'd be very different; maybe in a good way, maybe not. But there's no point in speculating. Things are just never ever going to be good with his brother - especially not now that Dante had gotten tortured because of him - and Cisco's just got to accept that. ]
