For a long time he'd bought into his parents' bullshit about Dante, how he was the perfect son who did everything right, the exact opposite of the way Cisco did everything wrong. like i was totally into this girl melinda, right? i mean... convinced she was the love of my life in that stupid teenage way. and apparently she told dante she kinda liked me, too. so he lied to her and said there was no way it was gonna happen because i wanted to become a priest (which for the religion we grew up in means totally celibate) and then he asked her out himself and dated her for a year before he cheated on her and she dumped him.
