[ He gets in under the wire, sort of tumbling the last few feet to the ground and laughing his ass off while he lays on his back in the middle of Taako's courtyard. ]

[He hears that laughter from where he's chilling on the couch while the next round of shit bakes in the oven, and promptly picks himself up to go check on Poe.]

Nice, you didn't die! Gotta admit I was a little worried.

[ Poe's on his feet as soon as he hears Taako coming, wrapping the elf in a bear hug without thinking about it and kissing him on either cheek. ]

That was amazing!

[There's a small oof of surprise, but Taako is used to Magnus and knows how to just roll with a hug. Poe even gets a little pat on the back.]

And yet you wouldn't let me turn you into a dog.

[Taako, who is a lot more comfortable doling out affection than he is receiving it, gives Poe a little pat on the cheek.]

[ TAAKO GETS ANOTHER KISS ON THE CHEEK. He can hardly contain himself.

Force, he needs to sit down. He will sort of do that and collapse against the doorway to Taako’s apartment... where he will start laughing again. There is definitely something to be said for the adrenaline of a free fall dive.

[It's been a while since Taako's experienced the kind of giddy exhilaration that Poe is obviously feeling now. Getting Lup back was close, but it wasn't as easy as this, it was so tangled up in those ten years of grief and the fear that he'd lose her all over again to the Hunger.

There's a moment where he's almost jealous; it's not that he can't do what Poe just did, but he wouldn't get the same joy out of it.]

Just wait until I ask you to clean this place for me.

[This time he gives Poe another nudge, but to get him to head inside, towards the living room, so he can sit properly instead of leaning against the doorway.]

[ Poe moves inside obediently, eyes still half-wild with the memory of empty space between him and the ground, the glorious patchwork of the city and it’s people.

It’s almost enough to get him to love this place, even if he doesn’t plan to stay. ] Rey might. Finn would probably just ask what I did and possibly apologize for me.

[Now that they've apparently established that Touching Is Okay, Taako all but guides Poe to the couch to sit him down, before reclaiming the glass of wine he'd been drinking a few moments ago (it's late enough for that probably).]

[ Poe tilts his head to rest against the back of the couch. ] Yep. Same galaxy. Universe. Whichever. We met right before whatever happened that brought us here.

[ (He’s reliving it all again as he talks, the pressure and weight and lightness of gravity and air.) ] You’re friends?
