(She shrugs off her coat and hops up to inspect his vanity. There's a lot going on, lots of products and nail polishes. Lots to pick through.)

Or wait, are you being tricksy? Do you mean you don't own it because it's all stolen?

[Honestly Taako just expects her to go through his things. Personal space? Boundaries? I don't know her.]

(Good because she's trying on all his fucking rings, every single one of them.)

(The effect of wearing eight extremely chunky rings is very pleasing but it weighs down her hands too much to be comfortable. A shame.)

[It doesn't take Taako long to get changed, so he's wandering back out into the bedroom again all dressed up with a brush in hand as he works on fixing up his hair.]

(By the time he's back out Lucretia has unceremoniously taken the rings off of her fingers and has changed into the slip. She's holding the dress very delicately with both hands; it's quite hefty thanks to all the beading, and she's not entirely sure if she's supposed to... step into it? Pull it on like a jumper? Is there a hidden zipper, or)

I'm not admitting shit.

[She can accuse him all she likes but Taako will never admit that he's done anything wrong in his life.

He wanders over to the vanity for a hair elastic, quickly tying back his hair to free up his hands for the next question:]

You need a hand with that one?

[scholiast]

(She knows this and she loves him.)

Please. I don't want to damage it.

(It's very pretty. Lucretia might make a show of preferring simplicity to extravagance but something as glitzy as this can't help but catch her appreciative eye.)

[No one is immune to a little glamor, Taako knows this fact very well and he especially knows it about Lucretia.

He takes the dress, putting his hands through from the top so he can keep it from scrunching up while Lucretia puts it on.]

Here ya go, it'll slip on over your head.

[scholiast]

(She lets him help ease the dress on over her head, letting it fall neatly into place. Oh, wow. It's very low cut. The slip had been too so there's still a large amount of skin on display; Lucretia does a little nervous laugh, and glances at herself in the mirror.)

Oh. (It's... actually a very striking look. She loves the way everything glints in the light, too...)

[It is a very good luck but he can understand the concern she isn't vocalizing, which is why he heads back over to the vanity and pulls a packet of hollywood tape out of a drawer, offering it to Lucretia.]

If you wanna make sure it doesn't, you know, move around a whole lot

(Again, she accepts it gratefully, fiddling with the little roll.)

(She'll get to work sticking this down, then, but she does actually like it. She likes getting all fancy dressed up with Taako. Honestly, he's one of the only ones she'd do it sincerely for.)

There's gotta be a gallery opening or something, I'll check it out while you get that whole thing done.

[The way their century together was meant that privacy was sometimes a luxury they weren't afforded, but that doesn't mean Taako can't give Lucretia some now to mess around with the bust of a dress. So he grabs his tablet from the bedside table and flops on the bed to start scrolling through it. He's still in the room, obviously, but he's not looking at her.

After a couple minutes:]

Shit, there's some kinda music thing? This hella famous cellist is here from the planet below, that's gotta be exclusive.

(Excellent, because she has to pluck the neckline of the dress right away from her chest to get the tape on it and while she's long since grown out of self-consciousness around Taako, she's... different now. Physically? It makes everything feel a little weird.)

That sounds good. (Reminds her a little of the Legato Conservatory.) If we make a noticeable enough entrance before the performance starts, we can build a lot of anticipation.

(Okay, she's got everything stuck down and yeah, that's way more comfortable. Perfect. She comes to look over his shoulder at the screen of his phone. Oh, wow. It is super fancy, actually.) ... Want to pre-load a little more before we go.

[In a bit of a sing-song:] There's secret vodka under the bed~

[If they're going to keep pre-gaming, they might as well move onto his stash of whipped cream vodka, since it tastes like whipped cream and that's all he really needs out of alcohol.

While she does that, he's going to fix his make up.]

(She should have known; Taako has always had secret bed drinks. She retrieves it, and uncaps the bottle.)
