[ Sif isn't usually a cuddler, but last night gave her some reminders of the value of physical affection so Taako gets an arm slung around him from behind and a brief kiss on the cheek before she goes to take a seat. ]

You are a treasure, and I will defer to your judgment about the eggs.

[ She's not fussy. ]

[He makes a little oh sound when she gives him that hug and kiss on the cheek, before laughing.]

Good morning to you too.

[He can roll with affection, and after a second of consideration he cracks two eggs into the pan and starts whisking them, adding a little milk and cheese as it heats up.]

Coffee and all its parts are on the table, take a seat and get started with that, this'll be like, thirty seconds.

[ It is good to know that she can be a less rigid version of herself without insulting him, because she wouldn't want to make him uncomfortable.

She pours herself some coffee, and hums with appreciation ay the strong bitterness. ]

We do not have this in Asgard.

[Taako sets a mage hand to work finishing up the eggs, while he assembles the rest of their breakfasts, including the two bloody marys.]

It's pretty much the best thing ever invented.

[For someone who only needs a four hour trance a night and doesn't get tired in the same way humans do, he sure has an interesting relationship with caffeine.]

[ Sif could easily develop a similar one. She could also totally get used to breakfasts at Taako's place. ]

It is quite excellent.

[ May it give her strength to deal with this day. ]

You will be pleased to hear that Loki and I may have come to a truce of sorts.

[ Might as well get that out of the way first. ]

Well, it'd be nice to only know one person that hates him.

[That comes out sounding a little... not bitter, maybe just tired, but Taako is quick to provide a distraction in the form of breakfast being ready.

He sets two plates on the table, Sif's piled a lot higher than his, with bacon, sausages, eggs, hashbrowns and fried tomatoes. The fresh bread is set out on the table with a knife, and the bloody marys are between them.

Taako takes a seat, but before he starts eating he adds:]

Lemme guess, you got real drunk and talked it out?

[ She can't blame him for being exhausted with the drama. She's Asgardian and she is still fed up. ]

Drunk and high.

[ She picks up a crispy piece of bacon with her hand and takes a bite. ]

This is delicious.

[ Anyway, back to the story. ]

He asked me to dance. If I live to be ten thousand I will never understand that man.

[Taako has long given up trying to understand Loki.]

Sounds like he's making an effort? And it sounds like I missed a fucking party.

[ She makes a vaguely disgusted noise and bites into a piece of warm bred with butter on for comfort. ]

[Feelings are for nerds.]

What did he have to say about that?

That I was not his friend. And he asked why I did not try to save him when I risked everything for Thor.

[ Shrug. ]

I think he did not believe me.

[Taako's current feelings about Loki are complicated at best, but he's not exactly surprised to hear this.]

You can love someone and still love another person more.

[That's simple enough, Taako shrugs.]

You feel any better for saying it?

[ This is why she feels so comfortable with him. This sometimes brutal straightforwardness. It suits her temperament. ]

Not really. Mostly I am embarrassed, I think. But I suppose it gave an ending of orts to our story.

Better than stewing in it, I guess.

[He's of two minds about that particular sort of thing, whether it's better to confront emotions or bury them. Mostly he's just a hypocrite, because he'd rather bury his own.]

You have a good night aside from Loki's shit?

It was... a night, for sure.

[ She chuckles and gets some more food into her before continuing. ]

I ate, I drank, I laughed. You would have been proud.

Do you know Angela?

Most nights usually are like that.

[He's teasing, just gently, as he idly sips his coffee.]

I know of her, she lives with Loki.

[And Cisco set her up on a date with Magnus, but he doesn't think that's the point here.]

She made some... rather pleasant advances.

[ Which had been quite surprising, to say the least. ]

[Considering what Sif said over text, Taako draws a few conclusions.]

[It's almost a little sing song.]

[ Sif is actually blushing a little, this is far out of her comfort zone. Mostly because it has been so damn long to be honest. ]

Most of that happened with someone else but yes, things got a little physical with Angela as well.

[Taako, who has zero shame, holds up a hand for a high five.]

You guys sure know how to party, huh? I'm almost sad I missed it.

[ She gives him the high five with a little smile that is, quite frankly, fucking adorable. ]

It would have been good to have you there.

[ Though he might have led her to make even more questionable life choices. ]

She said that my dancing was the most beautiful sight she had ever seen. She is really quite gallant.

We'd had dinner reservations for a while, didn't wanna cancel.

[Also, with how Rin feels about Loki and all that tension lately, Taako decided it would be best to kind of take a little space.]

Damn, that's a smooth line, sounds like you should've gone home with her.

[ Sif can hardly blame him there. ]

It would probably have been better than leaving with a married man.

[ And yet that is exactly what she did. ]

[He puts a hand on his chest with a gasp, as if scandalized, before it's ruined by a grin.]

We've all been there, huh?

[Taako doesn't cheat, but if someone else is willing to be that sort of person, that's their choice.]

[ She actually looks worried for a second there, and while his grin relaxes her a bit she still looks pretty uncomfortable. ]

I seem incapable of making wise choices when it comes to these things.
